6:30 – 8:30 PM, with some time for community, following (note: the start time has changed from 7:00 to 6:30 for all future dances)

dance in Pahrump December 27

There will be a Dances of Universal Peace dance lead by Wonder Bob at Haven Selah in Pahrump, NV, on 27Dec12 beginning at 5 pm.

Haven Selah is on 5 acres and there are several small residences….and one 2 story metal building.  The 2-story building is where things happen – and it will be warmed up and ready for you to help celebrate and look forward to lots of hopes and dreams and adventures in 2012.

Last I heard (which was a while ago), there was construction on Blagg Rd, so be sure to contact Teresa and Ernie to get the best directions.  The last instructions I received from Teresa are that you can get to Haven Selah from Sharon St.  Sharon St is one block west of Blagg and it looks accessible from either W. Adkinsson St (from the south) or W. Mesquite Ave from the north.

As always, for some people, getting to the first dance can be difficult, but please come anyway.  Each dance lasts about 15-25 minutes (total), so you won’t have to wait long to join in.  If the dance is done individually, and you have danced it before (and are comfortable enough to join in without disrupting the other dancers), then you can join in when appropriate.

Tecopa weekend dance

Dancing for the New Year: 

Tecopa Hot Springs CA, 4-6 January 2013

This is an opportunity to focus and give voice to our prayers for the new year: what would you like to intend for yourself, your friends and family, the world? Let this camp be a container for our prayers, and a first step on our journey into the new year.Dances will be led by Sky Majida Roshay (from Arizona) and Wonder Bob (from Colorado), along with guest leaders (from many places, we hope!). They will be joined by Mansur Conviser (from California), a long-time Dance musician whose heartful violin and viola have lifted many Dance sessions to the realm of the sublime. We hope that this weekend will bring together Dancers from the west coast, the southwest and the Rocky Mountain states (and possibly beyond!) and begin weaving an even wider web of hearts by merging these areas.

The first Dance session will be Friday morning, but you are invited to come early to meet and hang out (for example, in hot springs). We will be arriving on Wednesday (2 January), and the tent will go up on Thursday – your help is most needed and gratefully welcome for that project!!
